Product Description
After using up the remaining stocks of WWI M1917 bayonets the U.S. issued procurement orders for new updated M1917 bayonets to be issued with “trench” shotguns. Only two makers produced these bayonets General Cutlery of Fremont, Ohio and Canadian Arsenals Ltd. This M1917 bayonet is in wonderful condition and is marked “U.S. M1917” and “CA” for the maker Canadian Arsenals Ltd. The bayonet shows only light use and is sharp. There is a rack number as is sometimes seen on issued bayonets. These will fit the trench guns made with the M1917 bayonet mount, the U.S. M1917 rifle, and the British P1913 rifle. These Vietnam war bayonets are not as common as the WWI versions. A great bayonet for the Vietnam war collection.
